Confidentiality
Generally psychotherapy is confidential but there are a few exceptions.
If I believe that someone I see in a professional capacity is in danger of serious harm, I will intervene, as I am obliged to do by my professional body, the British Psychological Society. Similarly, if, in my professional capaclty, I hear of another person whom I believe may be in danger of serious harm from you I will intervene.
I I consult with a professional collleague where I discuss my work while protecting patient confidentiality. My professional practice and consultations comply with the guidelines of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
